Energy Studies

In today's industrial environment energy studies are important for safety, production and financial reasons. These include determining if an existing installation has the capacity to add new loads, verifying cable capacity,  balancing distributed load over three phases, monitoring power factor, ascertaining energy consumption before and after new loads have been added, and to justify energy saving devices.

Avoiding  Financial Penalties

Power factor is one important measurement collected in an energy study. Utilities often impose fines if the power factor of an installation drops below a  contractually agreed value.
Keeping track of power factor, and implementing appropriate power factor correction can avoid financial penalties.

    Reports

    The reports show voltage and current on all three phases plus neutral, and multiple parameters that can help determine system load, including frequency, real power kW), apparent power (KVA), reactive power(KVAR), power factor, and energy (KWh).
    All our reports and test results are issued on approved paperwork, giving the  customer an easy to read and understand report with all the necessary information to hand.
